Variable Rate PGR Application

Growers can use TerrAvion imagery to guide targeted variable rate chemical applications. In this example, the grower used imagery to identify relative vigor areas to design a variable rate plant growth regulator (PGR) application in a cotton field. This process can be used to create uniform plant vigor to achieve the best yield and defoliant results. Growers and agronomists have long applied PGRS on a variable rate basis in cotton, but TerrAvion imagery allows them to do so with much greater geospatial precision.

Use imagery to identify zones to target for a treatment. Draw and download the SHP file of the area, create a specific prescription and import the SHP file into your variable rate application program.
