Variable Rate PGR Application - Cotton

Growers can use TerrAvion imagery to guide targeted variable rate chemical applications. In this example, the grower used imagery to identify relative vigor areas to design a variable-rate plant growth regulator (PGR) application in a cotton field. This process is used to create uniform plant vigor to achieve the best yield and defoliant results. Growers and agronomists have long applied PGRS on a variable rate basis in cotton, but TerrAvion imagery allows them to do so with much greater geospatial precision.

Use imagery to identify zones to target for treatment. Draw and download the SHP file of the area, create a specific prescription, and import the SHP file into your variable rate application program.
