Spider Mite infestation - Commodity Crops

TerrAvion aerial imagery can help growers identify and quantify pest infestations in their fields and evaluate the effectiveness of an insecticide treatment throughout the season. In this example, the NDVI imagery clearly shows a suspicious area of low vigor in the north east corner of the field. Upon an in-field investigation, the low vigor area was identified as a spider mite infestation. The natural color imagery does not show any signs of insect pressure, thus demonstrating the superiority NDVI imagery to detect plant stress.

Use TerrAvion aerial imagery to help identify and quantify pest damage, to guide targeted treatments, and to evaluate the effectiveness of applied treatments.
